Island made. Island grown.
The market welcomes farmers, crafters, food makers, hands-on services and community nonprofits whose goods are grown or made here. Here’s who can sell, what it costs and how to apply.

The transformative act.
Historically an agricultural and artisan market, OIFM promotes “all things local and handmade.” What you sell must be grown here, or meaningfully transformed by you, here.
Farmers
- Crops grown on Orcas or Waldron Island
- No reselling of plants or food grown elsewhere
- The transformative act applies to potted-up starts
Crafters
- A transformative act makes the product your own creation
- It must happen on the island a significant amount of the time
- Crafter lives on the island at least part of the year
Food vendors
- Food should be hand made, with meaningful transformation of ingredients
- Reselling canned drinks, bagged chips or drinks from mixes is discouraged
Services
- Handcrafted, on-the-ground services — face painting, tarot readings and massage have all been part of the market
- Services not produced at the market don’t qualify
Community nonprofits
- Information sharing, education, bake sales (food rules apply)
- Community-based, serving the Orcas community
- Incorporated as a nonprofit in Washington State
Kids Co-Op & other
- Kids Creative Co-Op: items crafted by the child, adult present
- Other vendors who fit the spirit of one or more categories
